Clear care guidance

A warranty you can understand

Long-term confidence without the fine-print maze.

A GlassMat is designed to provide a firm, smooth rolling surface for daily work. Our warranty is built around the same principle: clear expectations, practical care, and a direct path to support when something is not right.

The Limited Lifetime Structural Warranty follows the original GlassMat through one transfer to a subsequent owner when valid proof of the original purchase is retained. Coverage applies to qualifying defects in materials or workmanship during normal, intended indoor use.

Coverage at a glance

What the warranty is designed to protect.

Term

Limited lifetime structural coverage

"Lifetime" means the period the original covered product remains in service for its intended use, subject to the terms and exclusions on this page.

Ownership

Transferable once

Coverage may transfer to one subsequent owner. The original receipt, order confirmation, or other accepted proof of the original purchase is required.

Registration

No registration required

Keep the original purchase documentation and product information. Those records are used to confirm eligibility if support is ever needed.

Covered and excluded

Protection for qualifying defects, with practical limits.

Every claim is reviewed using the product, installation, care, and incident details supplied by the customer. These examples explain the intended scope of coverage.

How approved claims are resolved

A clear replacement policy at every stage.

Delivery damage

Replacement and shipping included

For approved shipping-damage claims reported on time, the replacement GlassMat and standard replacement shipping within the contiguous United States are provided at no charge.

First 90 days

Covered defect, fully replaced

For an approved manufacturing-defect claim made within 90 days of delivery, the replacement GlassMat and standard replacement shipping are provided at no charge.

After 90 days

Replacement product included

For an approved claim after 90 days, the replacement product is provided at no charge. The customer pays the current shipping and handling amount disclosed before shipment.

If the original model, size, or finish is unavailable, TheGlassMat may provide a reasonably comparable replacement. Coverage is limited to one approved warranty replacement per original product. A replacement does not restart or extend the original warranty term.

Setup

Start with a clean, stable foundation.

Correct setup protects the product, the floor beneath it, and the quality of the rolling experience.

  • Inspect the carton and product before discarding the packaging.
  • Use two adults to unpack, carry, position, or relocate the GlassMat.
  • Wear suitable grip gloves and footwear. Do not use metal tools against the glass.
  • Confirm that the supporting floor is clean, dry, level, and structurally sound.
  • Install the correct Slip-Grip pads for the floor type and keep them properly positioned.
  • Lower the GlassMat into place. Never drag or slide it across the floor.
  • Leave clearance from walls, furniture, thresholds, and exposed metal components.
  • Keep the original packaging until the product has been fully inspected and installed.

Routine care

Simple maintenance keeps the surface clear.

No special branded cleaner is required. Gentle tools and regular removal of grit are more important than aggressive cleaning products.

  • Use a clean microfiber cloth with a non-abrasive, residue-free glass cleaner.
  • Avoid abrasive powders, scouring pads, razor blades, and harsh chemicals.
  • Remove grit from the GlassMat and chair casters before it can scratch the surface.
  • Inspect Slip-Grip pads periodically and replace any that are worn, damaged, or displaced.
  • Do not place exposed metal furniture legs, damaged casters, or sharp objects on the glass.
  • Use two adults to lift the product before cleaning beneath it or moving it.
  • Never drag, flex, strike, drill, cut, or modify a finished tempered-glass product.

Frequently asked questions

Warranty and care, clarified.

These answers summarize the policy. The complete terms below control warranty coverage.

Do I need to register my GlassMat?

No. Keep the original receipt, order confirmation, or other accepted proof of the original purchase.

Is the warranty transferable?

Yes. Coverage may transfer once to one subsequent owner when valid proof of the original purchase is retained and supplied with the claim.

Are scratches covered?

Scratches and ordinary cosmetic wear are not manufacturing defects. Regularly clean the GlassMat and chair casters, and avoid exposed metal contact.

Who pays shipping for an approved replacement?

Approved delivery-damage claims and covered manufacturing-defect claims made within 90 days include standard replacement shipping. After 90 days, the replacement product is free and the customer pays the disclosed current shipping and handling amount.

What should I do if the GlassMat arrives broken?

Keep people and pets away, document the carton and product only when safe, and contact us within 72 hours. Never return or ship broken glass.

Can I use different pads or remove the Slip-Grip pads?

Use pads suitable for the floor and product. Missing, incorrect, displaced, or worn pads may reduce stability and can affect warranty eligibility.

Are custom and specialty glass products covered?

TheGlassMat-branded custom and specialty products receive written application-specific terms. Those written terms may supplement or control over this general warranty where stated.

Can I move my GlassMat to another room or address?

Yes, but relocation damage is not covered. Use two adults, lift rather than drag, protect every edge, and confirm the new supporting surface is clean, dry, level, and suitable.
